Carol Driffill coached the Nitro girls teams for their first four seasons beginning in 1997. She coached two All-CIF players, Allison Speer and Megan Scott, and Pacific League Player of the Year Kristina Garcia. Driffill guided the team to the Pacific League championship in 2000 where they finished 23-6 overall and 7-0 in league play.

Former GHS player Shawna Metcalf and Misty Harlin co-coached the 2001 team.

Alfred Tamazyan and Pat Lancaster co-coached the team in 2002 and 2003. In 2003 the Nitros won the Pacific League championship posting a 23-6 overall record, 6-1 in league. Tamazyan and Lancaster were named Area Coaches of the Year by the Glendale News-Press.

Alfred Tamazyan again led the Lady Nitros in 2004.

Former GHS player Tim Fredericksen, class of 1990, took over the team in 2005.

Area club coach Bobby Zirovich took over the team in 2006 and led the team to its magical CIF playoff semi final run in 2007. He coached 5 All-CIF players, Vanuhi Ovasapyan, Lily Broussard, Rachel Hahn, Shaggy Abolian, and Casey Sripramong. He was named Pacific League coach of the year, Glendale News-Press Coach of the Year and Daily Newsd Coach of the Year in 2007.
