Kristofer Coffman introduction by Jessica Guccione

I first met Kris in eighth grade at Wilson Middle School where our schedules were identical, and in the past five years he has become far more than the guy who just happened to be in all my classes. He’s a guy who anyone can talk to, a guy who’s thoughtful and always has something to say.

In the past season, Kris was the starting first baseman for the Nitros baseball team, even though he never played little league. And that’s what makes Kris Kris, his ability to succeed at whatever he sets his mind to. Amongst helping to lead the Scholastic Bowl to within one point of first place, Latin Club meetings and countless community service hours at Salem Lutheran Church, he has managed to maintain a 4.159 GPA without ever opening a book. It’s not the way most 4.0 students do it, but then again, instead of attending a school anyone has ever heard of, this fall he will pack his bag and buy a one way ticket out of sunny Southern California to Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota where he will study to become a Lutheran pastor.

And Kris, even though I’m quite concerned you might freeze to death in their 30-below winters, I know you'll be happy there and I truly believe you’ll be a positive influence on your future flock.
