Jennifer Movsessian introduction by Henrietta Movsessian
Hello, my name is Henrietta Movsessian and I am the 2008 PNMA winner. I have the honor of speaking on behalf of an extraordinary and remarkable individual who just happens to be my sister, Jennifer Movsessian. Jenny is the most incredible person that I have ever met. She gives selflessly to make sure that everything around her goes well, and takes time out of her extremely busy schedule to make a difference in the community and in the lives of all the people she meets.
She has been a remarkable leader at Glendale High. She inspires me in so many ways with her leadership, willingness to help others, creativeness, and overall caring nature. As class president for all four years she constantly thought of new ideas and ways to improve the class of 2009, outdoing many of her predecessors. She enthusiastially and sincerely represents Glendale High at countless meetings. She's taken numerous AP classes and when she’s not studying, she can be found at the stadium perfecting her technique in the shot-put and discus.
Jenny has made a difference not only at Glendale High, but also throughout the community. She has done over 2,500 hours of community service. She has dedicated herself to volunteering for our church, Armenian school, and the City of Glendale. She spends many hours a week interning to help represent those who do not have a voice, and works towards improving Armenian causes.
She's a shining star. She lights up every room she steps into with her big smile and wholehearted laughter. Jenny, you are perfect in so many ways. I know you say you look up to me, but honestly, it’s the other way around. I am simply in awe of you. Although it may appear to some that you have followed in my footsteps, we have walked through it all together. Congratulations on this amazing and well deserved recognition. I cannot wait to see how much more you will achieve. UCLA is lucky to have you.
I love you and believe in you. I am extremely proud to call you my sister and I know that wherever you go or whatever you do, you will change the lives of those around you for the better.
