Congratulations seniors we can almost consider ourselves alumni of Glendale High School.

The class of 2009 would like to leave the school with 20,000 dollars to be spent on future projects after construction, especially in this time of recession.

This summer you will wake up and you will realize all the things that have changed. You will never be trapped in the endless traffic on Verdugo or have to drive around for what seems like hours to find a parking spot. Never again will you get detention for being late or have bells telling you when to go to class. You can wear any hat and listen to you iPod at any time during the day and no one will stop you. I hope you enjoyed your last pep rally because never in your life will you be in the gym with another 1,500 sweaty students singing “Do It, Do It, Do It.”

These are the memories that have made high school so special. Never again will you be nagged to complete your homework, and your parents will not receive letters or calls notifying them of anything. No longer will we work only to impress our parents, but instead we will have to impress ourselves.

Class of 2009, we are known for making new traditions, for bending all the rules, and for doing the bare minimum just to get by… if you ask me, this is what has made our year so successful.

Now I know all of you are drained because you have been up over 24 hours but for old time sake…. Let’s show our friends and family why we creamed all the classes and won oratorical.  Let me hear you cheer!

Senior Pranksters.. .your ideas where sick! I cannot forget the successes on this field… nice job football for keeping the bell where it belongs and track for keeping the bowl from our rival.  I will not forget to mention all the other hard working athletes that GHS will unfortunately loose.

GHS is a phenomenal place!

So when you wake up tomorrow, next month, or ten years from now, and realize how much GHS changed you and how much you grew on this campus, remember that it was the people that got you this far!

When you become a doctor like Edward Babakhani or a lawyer like Vanuhi Karapetyan remember to thank the people that inspired you and cared so much.
As your senior class president, I would like to thank my advisors Peerali and Keefer, Hazlett, Lopez, the senior class cabinet, and all the people who made GHS a better place and influenced my life in a positive way.

Above all I would like to thank my family for encouraging me every day!  My sister Henrietta is my role model as you all know and she has truly inspired me to work so hard on this campus.  I would like to thank my father who supports everything I do. I would especially like to thank my mother who is always there for me and doesn’t ever complain even when I ask her to pick me up from rally set up at 11pm.

To the class of 2010, although you have big shoes to fill, I am sure that you will do great and accomplish more. I believe in all of you especially President Alvandyan.  I have had the opportunity to watch him grow and I am sure he will do a great job.

Do not worry about forgetting the past and do not worry about what is to come in the future. Be hopeful and things will just fall into place.  Remember the people who have supported and encouraged you.  As we go on to the colleges of our dreams such as UCLA, UCSD UCI fine I'll mention USC or the place that will guide as there, remember never to give up! If I could sum up my time at Glendale High School I would say…PERFECTION… a word I borrowed from my best friend Carin and  how I describe my  fellow NHSers.  And just as Ms. Hazlett announces on the bulletin, thank you Glendale High School and have a wonderful life!

Thank you.
