Facilities Planning & Development

In April 2011, our Glendale Unified community passed Measure S, a ballot initiative that makes available $270 million dollars in general obligation bonds to renovate and improve schools in the Glendale Unified School District.

A Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) was developed to support bond spending. The CBOC is made up of seven individuals appointed by the Board of Education. As an independent committee, it is charged with informing the public about Measure S projects, reviewing Measure S expenditures, and developing an annual report to the Board of Education on the progress of Measure S projects.
